Ammon J. Larsen, M.D., FAAD
Founder and Board-Certified Dermatologist
Dr. Ammon Larsen is a board-certified dermatologist and the founder of Larsen Dermatology Institute. Practicing in Northern Colorado since 2017, Dr. Larsen combines top-tier academic training with an approachable, patient-centered philosophy to deliver expert medical, surgical, and complex dermatologic care.
Dr. Larsen completed his undergraduate studies at Utah State University before earning his medical degree from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, where he graduated #1 in his class. During his medical training, he was awarded the Sylvia and Gilbert Nurick Medical Achievement Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence and was inducted into both the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society—a peer-elected recognition honoring clinical skill,
integrity, and compassionate patient care. He completed his transitional internship at St. Luke’s University Health Network and his dermatology residency at the University of Connecticut Health Center, where he was selected to serve as Chief Resident. Dr. Larsen scored in the 99th percentile nationally on his licensing examinations and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD).
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Larsen serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. A recognized speaker and consultant, he serves on scientific advisory boards and lectures nationwide on advanced targeted therapeutics and biologics for severe inflammatory skin disorders, including plaque psoriasis, atopic dermatitis (eczema), and hidradenitis suppurativa.
Outside the office, Dr. Larsen enjoys spending time with his wife, Andrea, and their three children. He stays active in the Colorado outdoors through hiking, camping, and snowboarding, and each winter builds a backyard ice rink for skating with his daughter and playing hockey with his son.
April Hofmann, PA-C
Certified Physician Assistant
April Hofmann, MMS, PA-C earned a Master of Medical Science from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona with a clinical master’s emphasis in dermatology. She completed her undergraduate education at Colorado State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
April developed her passion for dermatology while working for a dermatology practice for 9 years prior to deciding to pursue a career as a Physician Assistant. She moved to Arizona to attend PA school and then practiced dermatology in Mesa, Arizona until given the opportunity to move back to Colorado. She has been practicing dermatology in Northern Colorado for the past 14 years.
April is a Fort Collins native and enjoys reading, snowboarding, boating, camping, and traveling with her husband and two children.
Eric Krinsky, PA-C
Certified Physician Assistant
Eric Krinsky, PA-C, brings over a decade of dermatology experience to Northern Colorado. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and later graduated from the Physician Assistant program at Pacific University, Oregon.
Eric holds a Diplomate Fellowship with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) and is committed to providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages. He actively encourages open communication about patient’s concerns and goals. As someone who personally deals with his own eczema, he has a special interest in treating this and similar conditions. His expertise also extends to the detection and treatment of skin cancers, emphasizing early diagnosis and patient education as fundamental to effective care.
Outside of his professional life, Eric loves the outdoors, playing golf, cycling, hiking, and traveling. He is also a loyal supporter of the University of Colorado Buffaloes and cherishes spending quality time with his family and friends.
